Posties to Protest Attack on Job Protections

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Join Newspaper Guild members this Thursday as they protest attempts by the Washington Post to severely cut contract job protections. Bargaining began on May 4th; the Guild contract, now expired, contains protections against the effects of outsourcing and provides for largely seniority-based layoff and recall, but Post management wants to gut these provisions.
