(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

From the Labor Hall of Fame to Joe Hill’s ashes, worker’s history is around just about every corner in our nation’s capital, if you know where to look. Click here to sign up for the June 10 Washington Worker’s Walking Tour as Metro Washington Council Union Cities Coordinator Chris Garlock (right) - who usually helps local and national activists make history on DC’s streets - leads a 2-hour walking tour of downtown DC to reveal labor’s often-untold story of protest and resistance. The tour is 5:15-7P and cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple, with 100% of all fees donated to the Metro Washington Council’s Community Services Agency. NOTE: it's an easy walk but wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. - photo: at the AFL-CIO labor mosaic during a 2010 Labor Walk
