(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

This Wednesday, area union members and community allies plan to pack the Prince George’s County Council’s hearing to support ratification of an agreement that would provide a 2% cost of living allowance to county workers. “After months of delays, the Prince George's County Council does not want to honor our contract,” says AFSCME Council 67, which represents school crossing guards and workers at the Department of Health and Family Services, the Department of Public Works and Transportation, and Housing and Community Development.
