Giant Warehouse Workers Ratify New Agreement

Workers at two Giant warehouses okayed a new contract last weekend. Workers at Giant’s fresh meat, poultry, seafood and produce warehouse – members of Teamsters Local 730 - voted 144 to 3 late last week to accept a new agreement that includes raises, a $50,000 buyout bonus payment for those currently eligible to retire and a signing bonus.  Workers in Giant’s dry warehouse voted 241 to 19 in favor of the agreement on Sunday. – Roger Newell/Teamsters
