Busboys and Poets is hosting its monthly “Bread & Roses” Labor Series at 6P tonight, an evening of labor-related poetry, film shorts from the finalists of the "LabourStart" Video Contest, and live music by the DC Labor Chorus. “Emcee Darryl Moch will teach and lead the audience in a few community labor songs,” say event organizers. “Each month we present a new topic through interactive discussions, film screenings, performances, and more, hoping to give attendees a greater understanding of organized labor, its role in shaping history and current relevance.” The event is free and open to the public; click here for more information.
