Preparing Inmates For Re-Entry

Friday at 5P is the deadline to donate books to area prison libraries. The Community Services Agency is coordinating the book drive to help overcome budget shortfalls and prepare inmates for re-entry into the community. “Most people in prison usually get out someday and return to the community,” says CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy. “Anything we can do to help them prepare for re-entry while they are still inside is a worthwhile venture.” Click here or email kmckirch@dclaborarchives.org for details, including a list of accepted reading material.
