Trades Urged To Join Protest Against Wolf Today

Monday, April 18, 2011

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

The Laborers are mobilizing area trades workers to oppose an attempt by Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf (right) to derail a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) on the Dulles Rail Phase 2 project. Wolf -- who's holding a press conference today at 2P at 13873 Park Center Road, Suite 130, Herndon, VA -- "does not respect the Building Trades unions and is only concerned with the wishes of the anti-union Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)," says Carolyn Bobb of the Laborers. "Wolf's attacks have nothing to do with the citizens of Virginia or fiscal responsibility. Wolf's actions are nothing more than yet another attack on working people and we invite all construction local unions in the area to join us to stand up to Wolf's attacks on our livelihood." - photo courtesy American Pickers
