Trumka To Speak At Youth "Power Shift" Rally Today

Thousands of young student activists on spring break will rally in Lafayette Park this morning. AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka will be among the speakers, and will address how workers and students can unite to create a powerful movement for change this year and beyond. Power Shift 2011 brings college and high school students together to "reclaim our democracy, organize around climate change and clean air issues and mobilize against big corporate polluters." The students and their supporters will also march on the Chamber of Commerce and other corporate targets. Click here for details.
