Teamsters Target $88 Mil Union-Buster

C&S Wholesale Grocers’ CEO Rick Cohen is attracting a bigger – and much noisier -- crowd today than he expected. Cohen is receiving an award from the Food Marketing Institute and the National Grocers Association at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (400 New Jersey Ave., NW) and the Teamsters are organizing a demonstration at 2P this afternoon to protest C&S plans to shut down a local Giant warehouse and send the work to a non-union facility in Pennsylvania, putting nearly 500 local employees out of work.
