Workers, Community To Protest Outsourcing At Giant

As grocery executives meet to “plan additional attacks on working families,” area workers and community supporters will rally outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 2P tomorrow to protest Giant Foods’ warehouse operator C&S Wholesale Grocers’ plan to close a local warehouse, effectively putting “nearly 500 employees out of work,” reports Teamsters representative Roger Newell.
