Guild (AFSCME 2910) sponsors a commemoration of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory
Fire of March 25, 1911, featuring Chris Llewellyn reading poems from her
award-winning book Fragments from the Fire. 12P,

3/25: Labor Film Screening: "Triangle Fire" (PBS/American
Experience): The AFL-CIO hosts a free screening of PBS' "Triangle
Fire" film marking the 100th anniversary of the tragic Triangle Shirtwaist
Factory Fire. Bring your lunch; soft drinks/water will be provided. 12P,

"Triangle: Remembering The Fire" (HBO): The Center for American
Progress hosts a screening of HBO's "Triangle: Remembering The Fire" followed by
a discussion with Heather Boushey (Senior Economist, Center for American
Progress), Kirstin Downey (author, The Woman Behind the New Deal: The Life of
Frances Perkins, FDR's Secretary of Labor and His Moral Conscience) and Michael
Kazin (Professor, Department of History, Georgetown University). 12P,
