In case you missed yesterday’s special WPFW radio broadcast commemorating the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire – featuring APRI activist Clayola Brown and CLUW's Joyce Miller – you can now listen online until Monday, April 4. In addition, there are four more upcoming events in the Metro-area honoring those who tragically died in the 1911 fire:
- FRIDAY 3/25: Poetry Reading Commemorates Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Centennial: The Library of Congress Professional Guild (AFSCME 2910) sponsors a commemoration of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire of March 25, 1911, featuring Chris Llewellyn reading poems from her award-winning book Fragments from the Fire. 12P, Pickford Theater at the Library of Congress 
- FRIDAY 3/25: Labor Film Screening: "Triangle Fire" (PBS/American Experience): The AFL-CIO hosts a free screening of PBS' "Triangle Fire" film marking the 100th anniversary of the tragic Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. Bring your lunch; soft drinks/water will be provided. 12P, AFL-CIO 
- FRIDAY 3/25: Labor Film & Discussion: "Triangle: Remembering The Fire" (HBO): The Center for American Progress hosts a screening of HBO's "Triangle: Remembering The Fire" followed by a discussion with Heather Boushey (Senior Economist, Center for American Progress), Kirstin Downey (author, The Woman Behind the New Deal: The Life of Frances Perkins, FDR's Secretary of Labor and His Moral Conscience) and Michael Kazin (Professor, Department of History, Georgetown University). 12P, Center for American Progress 
- WEDNESDAY 4/6: ILRF Awards Ceremony: "Remembering The Triangle Fire": Join the International Labor Rights Forum for an awards ceremony and reception commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and honoring “those who have shown an extraordinary commitment to workers in the US and around the world.” 5:30P, Communications Workers of America
