2011 Labor Seder Focuses On Unemployment

Each year, the Labor Seder highlights a current workers' rights
struggle and brings together the Jewish, progressive, and labor communities in
shared commitment to social and economic justice. This year’s seder –
scheduled for Sunday,
April 10 – will focus on “widespread unemployment in our region and
on the struggles of working families and low-income residents to find and keep
good jobs,” reports seder organizer Jews United For Justice. “The seder will
feature singing, storytelling, discussion, reflection, and action. We'll hear
the voices of local workers, activists, and rabbis, and read from an original
haggadah combining citizens' testimony, statistics and facts, and Jewish
