(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

The $6 million the Washington Hospital Center spent on last week’s lock-out "was a complete waste," says NNU's Ken Zinn. "We're stronger than we ever were." The nurses walked off the job March 4 for a one-day strike (Thousands Rally For Striking Nurses, 3/7/11 Union City) but were locked out by the hospital for an additional four days, returning to work on March 9.
