The March calendar from labor artist and activist Ricardo Levins Morales captures “the spirit of the workers' rights uprising sparked by the latest attack on public sector unions,” and features a poster Morales just completed for the 20th anniversary of AFSCME Local 3800, clerical workers at the university of Minnesota. AFSCME 3800 “is a member-driven local based on the organizing principle of maintaining personal relationships with each member. Their 20 years have been marked by two militant strikes, support for the educational demands of student and solidarity with workers in other unions, regions and countries,” says Morales.
