Williams: "Serious Systemic Service Delivery Problem At DOES"

“Having outlined why labor cares so much about the Department of Employment Services, I say today that we are outraged by the legacy of the Fenty Administration and its gross mismanagement of many of the programs under the Department of Employment Services’ purview,” testified Metro Washington Council, AFL-CIO President Jos Williams last Friday before the DC City Council Committee on Housing and Workforce Development. Williams – who highlighted the many deficiencies at DOES highlighted by the Department of Labor – added, “There is a serious systemic service delivery problem at DOES.
