“It was standing room only” at Monday’s noontime screening of “Brother Outsider” at the Library of Congress, enthusiastically reports AFSCME 2910 President Saul Schniderman, noting that one local – WTU 6 – brought half a dozen staff. “You just can’t advertise too much,” says Schniderman, whose Library of Congress Professional Guild co-sponsored the free screening with the Congressional Research Employees Association, the Daniel A. P. Murray Association, Library of Congress Blacks in Government and the Library of Congress Employees Union. “Thanks for all the coverage in Union City!” Schniderman – who says they sold out of copies of “Brother Outsider” DVDs -- adds that the local hopes to co-sponsor another film screening next month; stay tuned for details!
