Nigerian Hotel Workers Visit

Nigerian trade unionists Eniojukan Leke Success (center, in
sweater vest), Augustine Gyuse Mbavough (4th from r) and Josiah Habu Kato (3rd
from r) met with the Metro Washington Council’s Jos Williams (at far r), Rick
Powell (far l), Alya Solomon (2nd from l) and DC Jobs with Justice’s Ruth
Castel-Branco (4th from l) yesterday to discuss union issues in Nigeria and the
United States. Success is the President of NUHPSW, the Nigerian hotel worker’s
union, while Mbavough is the union’s General Secretary and Kato heads up
NUHPSW’s legal and organizing department. The delegation is also meeting with
hotel workers in Baltimore and Las Vegas during their weeklong visit. Also
