Walmart Coalition To Lobby City Council Thursday

Community activists are taking their campaign to “Make Walmart Respect DC” to DC's City Council this Thursday with a day of advocacy with Council members about Walmart’s efforts to open four stores in the District. "Join us to tell your City Councilmembers to demand that Walmart sign an enforceable Community Benefits Agreement, guaranteeing that it will treat its workers with dignity, provide full-time living wage jobs with good benefits, and help our neighborhoods improve their economic standing and quality of life,” says the Living Wages Healthy Communities Coalition. - photo by Kayla Mock
