(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

In response to our recent call for internships and programs at metro-area labor organizations (Union Internship Programs? 1/13/2011 Union City), AFSCME and the National Whistleblowers Center report that they’re running active internship programs and are looking for participants. “As one of the fastest growing unions in the United States, AFSCME is constantly in search of skilled, motivated and passionate activists who are interested in a career in the labor movement,” says AFSCME. “If you meet the eligibility requirements, the AFSCME/UNCF Union Scholars Program wants you to consider applying for this cutting-edge program that will not only help countless working men and women but you as well.” The National Whistleblowers Center internship programs include Law Students/Law Clerks, Pre-Law Legal Internship/Undergraduate Students, Non Profit/Public Interest and communications/new media.
