DC Special Election Tops DC COPE Agenda

The upcoming Special Election and DC legislative initiatives highlight tonight's Metro Washington Council Committee on Political Education (COPE) monthly meeting. Sekou Biddle (r) has been tapped by the DC Democratic State Committee to fill Kwame Brown's seat as an At-Large City Council member and "Come April, there will be a Special Election city-wide and Biddle will have a tough race against former Council member Vincent Orange and several other contenders," says Metro Council Assistant Political Coordinator Alya Solomon. At tonight's meeting, the DC COPE will discuss sending out questionnaires and conducting interviews to determine the Council's endorsement.
