Labor Passages: IBT 67's Smith

Noel Smith (r), retired Secretary Treasurer, Business Agent and Principal Officer of Brewery and Beverage Drivers Teamsters Local 67, passed away on Wednesday January 5. Smith joined the Teamsters in 1970 when he became a driver salesman for the Pepsi Cola Company and later became a shop steward. In 1990 Smith became President of Teamsters Local 67 and in 1996 was elected Secretary Treasurer and Principal Officer of Local 67 and held this position until his retirement in 2005. In addition to serving as Principal Officer of Local 67, he served as Chairman of the Brewery and Beverage Drivers Health and Welfare and Pension funds, and Secretary Treasurer of Teamsters Joint Council 55. - photo courtesy The Washington Post
