Thursday, December 9, 2010(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
In recognition of the Community Service Agency's (CSA)
successful ongoing job training work, CSA has received a second grant from the
MARPAT Foundation of $27,500 to continue its Building Future's work preparing DC
Ward 7 and 8 residents for jobs in the construction industry. "Combined
with the existing generous contract with the General Services Agency, we expect
tremendous success in helping folks find good jobs with good wages and benefits
in the industry," said CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy. "We
are very grateful for this support." The funds will help CSA boost job placement
and retention services for clients who have gone through CSA's
pre-apprenticeship training program. – photo: Building
