Labor Council Meetings Rock!

Immediately following tonight’s Council delegate meeting (which will start at 6p), the Street Dogs band will bring their hard-driving working class politics to the AFL-CIO. The 7p concert, hosted by AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, features Mike McColgan, former front man for the Dropkick Murphys (whose "Worker's Song" was included in this year's DC Labor FilmFest shorts collection) and special guest Wayne Kramer, an active union member and tapped by Rolling Stone as one of the all-time Top 100 Guitar Players. RSVP required; $5 donation to the Capital Area Food Bank requested for entry.
