Gage Calls Pay Freeze "Political Gimmick"

Calling President Obama’s proposed two-year federal worker pay freeze “a political gimmick that will save peanuts but inflict economic pain on hard-working, patriotic government employees,” AFGE President John Gage is asking union members and supporters to immediately contact their members of Congress to urge them “to stop the scapegoating of federal employees.” Gage notes that “The attack on federal pay is just the tip of the iceberg. The Deficit Commission has come up with its own morally repugnant recommendations that expand the attack on federal employees and all workers and their families.”
