Rockin' The Council

Labor Council meetings rock! Immediately following the December 13 Council delegate meeting (which will start at 6p), the Street Dogs band will bring their hard-driving working class politics to the AFL-CIO. The 7p concert, hosted by AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, features Mike McColgan, former front man for the Dropkick Murphys (whose "Worker's Song" was included in this year's DC Labor FilmFest shorts collection) and special guest Wayne Kramer, noted guitarist, founding member of MC5, movie producer and active union member.
