DC CBTU Reception & Shoe Box Gift Wrapping Set

The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists DC Chapter will host its annual reception and shoe box gift wrapping on Saturday, December 11 from 11A to 4P at CWA headquarters (501 3rd Street NW), reports DC CBTU President Gwend Johnson. “The shoe box donations will be distributed to area homeless shelters and nursing homes,” says Johnson. “We will also do our regular food drive for the Community Services Agency. We are requesting that you bring gift cards starting at $10 from Safeway, Giant, Shoppers or any other union represented grocery store. We are also accepting monetary donations to be pooled and the chapter will purchase the gift cards; any amount is appreciated.” Call 301-735-1984 for more information.
