Walmart Leading Candidate For 2010 Scrooge Of The Year

Walmart, the mega-retailer infamous for wiping out community stores across the nation and now trying to slip into DC and other cities with smaller stores, is the leading candidate for DC Jobs with Justice's 2010 Scrooge of the Year award, with more than 500 votes already cast for it. Last month, Walmart announced that it is planning to set up four stores across the District, sparking concern by local residents and businesses. Other nominees for this year's Scrooge include the Washington Hospital Center and the Washington Ballet. Click here to cast your Scrooge of the Year vote.
