Do workers in your workplace speak different languages? Does language serve as a barrier to organizing in your community? For those interested in building multilingual capacity in your union or organization, DC JwJ is hosting "Crossing the Language Divide, Creating Multilingual Spaces for Movement Building," a workshop to share tools and tips for interpretation and translation in your organizing work. The workshop-- which will be hosted Tuesday November 23, 6:30-8:30p at St Stephen's Church, 1525 Newton St NW-- will be facilitated by tenant organizer and interpreter Anna Duncan and DC Language Access Coalition co-director Sapna Pandya. Click here to register. This is part of the monthly Grassroots Education Project training series. $10 suggested donation but no one is turned away.
