Farmworkers To Protest Exploitation At Giant Today

Farmworkers and members of the Food Chain Workers Alliance and the Georgetown Solidarity Committee will demonstrate outside Giant Supermarket in Columbia Heights at 5P today to protest the company’s alleged involvement in farmworker exploitation. “Ahold, Giant's parent company, has so far refused to sign a Fair Food agreement with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and therefore continues to play an active role in farmworker exploitation,” says the Food Chain Workers Alliance.
