(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

Local reggae band Lucky Dub joins artist-in-residence Tarica June for a benefit concert tonight to support the work of DC Jobs with Justice. "We come from all walks of life, and musical influences, from reggae, funk and world to ska, rock alternative, and hip/hop to create a sound to get down to," says DC JwJ organizer Isaiah Toney, the bands' saxophone player. The concert starts at 8P at the recently opened Ras Restaurant & Café (4809 Georgia Avenue, NW). Sliding scale suggested donations $10-$40 “but no one will turned away for lack or excess of funds," adds Toney. For more info contact Isaiah Toney at 202.974.8281 or itoney@dclaborarchives.org
