Although the Community Services Agency’s annual golf tournament was rained out yesterday for the second time, the hardy group of golfers who showed up at the Enterprise Golf Course enjoyed a warm breakfast and union camaraderie while they watched the Ryder Cup. They were rewarded with passes good for play on another date at the all-union golf course, as well as a 50/50 raffle that netted some nice prizes – donated by Ashcraft and Gerel, Kaiser Permanente and the Metro Council-- for the lucky winners, including $150 cash for UFCW 1994 MCGEO Political Director Bob Stewart, seen here counting his win with Council President Jos Williams and CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy. “I was disappointed not to be able to lead the field with my newly-honed short game,” said Williams, “but we appreciate the support of all the golfers and sponsors and look forward to seeing everyone back next year, when we’ve been assured the weather will be perfect.” - photo: Doyle Printing's Tommy Doyle practices his putting in vain while Craig Vann of the Expedx union paper company shields him from the rain that canceled the CSA Golf Tournament; photos by Chris Garlock
