Tuesday, September 28, 2010

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

Coming off the recent wins in the DC primary, the DC COPE has a lot to discuss at its next meeting on Tuesday, October 12 “including the big win for all labor endorsed candidates in the September Primary Election and labor's strategy leading up to the general election,” reports DC COPE Chair Fred Allen. “We still have a lot of work to do to energize members to get out and vote on November 2.” The October meeting will be held at AFGE District 14, 80 F St NW Room 1C from 6:30 - 8P and will move to a different location in November; details will be posted on the Council website. - Alya Solomon; photo: DC Mayoral Candidate Vince Gray is seen talking with local supporters at the polls on September 14; photo by Adam Wright
