Labor Agenda Languishing
Monday, March 7, 2005(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
With the Maryland General Assembly now past the halfway mark in its
90-day session, much of labor's legislative agenda is still awaiting action. A
number of priority bills will have public hearings this week including the Fair
Share Health Care Fund Act and the Economic Development & Tax Incentive Act.
For the details on these bills as well as the others in the AFL-CIO agenda,
visit the COPE page on the Metro
Council web site. DC COPE Meeting: The Metro Council's
DC COPE will meet this Thursday evening at 6:30P in the Council's conference
room. For more details on this and other COPE meetings, check the calendar listings. -
