(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

In less than three weeks, hundreds of young labor activists and union workers are coming to Washington for the first national “Next Up” Young Workers Summit hosted by the AFL-CIO. Scheduled for June 10 through 13, young labor leaders and activists will have an opportunity to “share ideas and experiences and make concrete plans for bringing change to their communities, unions and our country,” reports the AFL-CIO. “Our movement is constantly evolving and our young members and activists are the next generation of leaders. You can be a part of it by participating in the summit and sharing your concerns, contributing your skills and ideas about the role of young workers in shaping programs and lending your voice to developing policies and solutions that will help you make a difference in your own organization.” There is no fee to register; click here for more information.
