Faith Leaders To Weigh In On Daycon Strike

Area religious leaders will conduct an ecumenical prayer service at Daycon on Tuesday morning to call on the cleaning supplies firm to return to the bargaining table with Teamsters Local 639 "and bargain in good faith with the more than 50 company employees that were forced out on strike April 26th." Participants will include Rev. Raymond Bell, Pastor, First Rising Mt. Zion Church and Chair, DC Workers' Rights Board, members of the DC Workers' Rights Board, the Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice, DC Jobs with Justice, and other religious and community organizations.
