Metro Council Suspends Montgomery County Candidate Interviews

After the Montgomery County Council on Tuesday unanimously declared its intent to break the County’s contracts with public employee unions, freeze pay and end benefits, Metro Washington Council President Jos Williams yesterday suspended the Council’s Montgomery County candidate endorsement process, which had been scheduled to begin this morning, “to allow time for labor to properly address this crisis.” Stay tuned for updates on this issue.
