Casino workers are making signs and getting excited for the arrival of
thousands of labor activists this Saturday to support their fight for a fair
contract. “We’re excited that people will be coming from all over the country to support us,” says Robert
Beck, a casino dealer at Bally’s in Atlantic City. “We’re winning
elections, we’re winning legislation – and now we’re going to have support
from the entire labor movement and our community to win fair contracts.”
“We’re having a rally on Saturday because it is time for the casinos to do
their part,” Marilyn Bey, a dealer at Caesars casino, told James Parks of the
AFL-CIO
Now Weblog Tuesday. “We need a union contract to improve our wages,
benefits and job security.”
