This week is packed with free local labor events. On Tuesday at
12:30P, American Rights at Work hosts New York Times reporter Steven Greenhouse
at the Center for American Progress as he discusses his new book - The Big
Squeeze: Tough Times for American Workers - about the shrinking and stressed US
middle-class. The DC Labor Filmfest free monthly screening series continues
Wednesday with a showing of "Grassroots Rising" on Wednesday at 12P at the
National labor College. And on Friday, the Metro Council and the International
Labor Communications Association host a free workshop -- Does Your Local Need a
Website? Taking the First Steps -- from 8:30A-12P, for local unions without
websites who are considering going online.
