Labor and health care leaders from across the country will explore ways to preserve quality of care and protect union benefits at a health care forum April 24 at the National Labor College. The forum includes a presentation by pollster Jeff Levine on the odds of passing universal health care and what voters are thinking about the issue, U. S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) on what’s going on in Congress on health care reform, and a dialogue on quality of care between AFL-CIO President John Sweeney and Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO George Halvorson. The event is funded by the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Institute at the National Labor College. Click here for details and to register.
