Women's History Month wraps up with film, poetry and song today and
tomorrow. Today at noon, United Mine Workers of America President Cecil Roberts
introduces a special free DC Labor FilmFest screening of "Mother Jones:
America's Most Dangerous Woman." The 23-minute documentary about labor heroine,
Mary "Mother" Jones shows how Mother Jones' transformed her personal and
political grief and rage into an effective persona that led workers into battles
that changed the course of history. Saturday at noon, the DC- Coalition of Black
Trade Unionists' hosts its women's history month program, featuring poetry,
songs and dialogue on the theme of "Women's History: Remembering When." Door
prizes will be given out at both events.
