MALCOLM AMADO UNO is the new Deputy Director at
the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance
(APALA). Uno will develop and manage APALA's organizing and political programs
and participate in executive level management of the organization. Uno
previously worked as the National Organizing Director with Asian Pacific
Islander American Vote (APIAVote); prior to relocating to Washington D.C., he
worked as Policy and Outreach Coordinator for Preschool California. "We are
excited to have Brother Uno join our organization of professionals and
volunteers," says Gloria T. Caoile, Executive Director of APALA. "As a
product of the labor movement, Amado brings passion, as well as the necessary
experience, to our mission of fighting for workers rights, immigration reform,
and social and economic justice." KELLY REED has
joined the staff at GO! Creative [www.go-creative.net], a communications and
design company focused on working with clients whose missions include protecting
workers' and human right rights. Reed has over a decade of experience creating
brochures, direct mail, logos, websites, conference promotions, newsletters and
reports.
