Labor activists will share a glass and raise money tonight for the Clément Solidarity Fund. The Fund was created to assist Teamsters member Clément gain political asylum in the US. Clément – a General Secretary of his union at the National Printing House for 13 years before he fled Côte d'Ivoire in 2005 – is fighting possible deportation back to Côte d'Ivoire, where he was tortured for his political activity.
