Takin' Health Care to the Streets

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
"Health care costs too much, covers too little, excludes too many and things are getting worse," says AFL-CIO President John Sweeney, who - with Metro Council President Jos Williams -- will preview the AFL-CIO's new DVD and strategy about how to use the health care issue to engage working families in this year's elections at Monday night's Metro Council meeting. "There is growing unease and insecurity, as well as widespread public discussion about the need for reform. The AFL-CIO is launching an exciting 'Meeting in a Box' strategy to highlight the need for health care reform; Monday night's meeting is a good step to getting involved on this important issue."
