Women's Day Celebration Tonight

Starting tonight at 6P, the Maryland State/DC AFL-CIO hosts "Women in Leadership: Changing the Landscape of America," a program to celebrate International Women's Day. National Labor College Professor Yvonne Scruggs-Leftwich will be the keynote speaker. Scruggs-Leftwich has authored numerous publications on political power and urban diversity; women in the political process; equity and justice issues; and national urban policy. Reflections will also be given by Cynthia Ennis, President, American Federation of Government Employees, Local 1923, Dr. Lorretta Johnson, President, American Federation of Teachers – Maryland, and Teresa A.
