Final Push for Paid Sick Leave

"She'll be your server tonight.and she's pretty sure it's contagious" says an ad supporting the DC paid sick leave bill. The ad, which appeared in the Washington City Paper Thursday and will appear in the Express on Tuesday, launched a series of media blitzes, lobbying events, and actions by supporters of the bill leading up to the DC City Council's final vote on the measure Tuesday. Other events include coverage on the University of the District of Columbia law school's show "Sound Advice" on both Sunday and Monday (9A, 8P & 11P on Cable TV 98), a street theater training and planning session on Saturday, a mobilization at the Wilson Building on Tuesday, and a featured article in this month's Labor Notes.
