Support for Paid Sick Leave Grows Across U.S.

With a final vote on paid sick leave coming up Tuesday in the DC City Council, states are beginning to take up the issue. California, Maine and Ohio are considering similar legislation that would guarantee paid sick days for all workers in the three states, reports Doug Cunningham of Workers Independent News. "About six million California workers, roughly 40 percent of the state's workforce, have no paid sick days," reports Cunningham.
