Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Best practices in organizing; finding targets for new organizing; developing a union committee; signing up "free riders;" these topics and more are the focus of a special course about organizing being offered by the Community College of Baltimore County Labor Studies Program. The three-credit course will feature guest speakers, multimedia presentations, role-playing and class discussions to cover broad issues related to becoming an effective organizer. The class starts this Thursday and counts as a three-credit course. Scholarships are still available. For more info, contact instructor Bill Barry bbarry@ccbcmd.edu; 410-285-9563.
