Putting Labor Back in the NLRB

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

More than 1,000 metro-area activists are expected to turn out for Thursday's big noontime demo at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). "They've taken labor out of the equation," says Metro Council President Jos Williams. "The Board has promoted a corporate agenda so much that they should re-name it the National Employer Relations Board." The Board is being targeted in DC and more than two dozen cities across the country because of a slew of decisions issued last month that would roll back dozens of legal protections for American workers. AFL-CIO unions and Change To Win unions are uniting across the country to expose the anti-worker actions taken by the Bush-dominated Board.
