"GET UNION WIRELESS" CAMPAIGN GAINS MOMENTUM IN MD: The campaign to get Verizon Wireless customers to switch to union AT&T is picking up steam in Maryland, reports the latest Unity at Verizon newsletter. The Maryland AFL-CIO sent a letter to all affiliated unions to switch to AT&T and CWA District 2 started an outreach campaign to union members and the general public to sign "Switch Pledge Cards." CWA Organizer Pam Wilt "reports that their efforts have yielded more than 965 pledge cards," increasing the number of switch pledges to over 6,000, according to the newsletter.
