An Economy That Works for All

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Why is it so hard for so many workers to make a good living in the richest country in the world?  The AFL-CIO’s “An Economy That Works for All” project will hold a training session on Monday, October 22, at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Md. to address that question.  The one-day program offers a workers’ perspective on why the economy isn’t working for most of us, and offers an alternative Working Families Agenda.  “It’s part of a nationwide effort to train activists to spread the word to union members that it doesn't have to be this way, and we have the power to change America’s political and economic landscape,” Susan Phillips tells Union City.  For sign-up materials or more information, contact her at  sphillips@aflcio.org or 202-637-3901.
